DEFY Media worked with Collins on a corporate rebrand for the first time since the merger between Alloy Digital and Break Media. The company needed a clear brand strategy and unified message that reflected the content it was creating for young audiences.

I worked closely with Collins to create concepts and execute designs that pushed the brand forward and separated us from the competition. It was important to create a sustainable brand system that could be utilized across all departments of the company and have a united front.

In addition to the DEFY Media rebrand, the company needed a corporate website that could fulfill their B2B needs. I created a corporate website that showcased their expansive roster of brands, delivered key metrics for the marketing team, and brand messaging to separate them from the competition.

Digital Content NewFronts

We unveiled the DEFY Media rebrand at the Digital Content NewFronts for maximum exposure and to test the capabilities of the new brand. The NewFronts was the most important annual event we hosted, including a wide-format keynote presentation, sizzle reels, program guides, digital invites, environmental graphics, and countless hours of work from our team.

Process

Like all projects, after receiving a brief, I start with populating a mood board for myself and the client to establish a common understanding and visual vocabulary. Sketches and comps are presented to the client a number of times during the feedback loop before approving a final direction.
