Don't Deuce in the Dark

Don’t Deuce in the Dark is an unreleased mobile adventure game where the player’s objective is to navigate through a labyrinth while avoiding monsters to reach the exit. I worked closely with the Smosh team and the app developers to design a logo that captured the horror component of the game while incorporating humorous elements that make it distinctly Smosh. The end result was a logo that complemented the in-game graphics and illustration style.

Process

Like all projects, after receiving a brief, I start with populating a mood board for myself and the client to establish a common understanding and visual vocabulary. Sketches and comps are presented to the client a number of times during the feedback loop before approving a final direction.
